The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries in the Bekwai constituency has taken a new turn after 13 of the 17 executive committee members,(10 elected, 3 appointed) and 29 out of the 34 electoral area coordinators, endorsed the candidature of Ralph Poku-Adusei.

The constituency executives who have chosen Ralph Poku-Adusei over the three other aspirants ahead of the Bekwai parliamentary primaries are the constituency chairman, 1st vice chairman, 2nd vice chairman, constituency general secretary, organizer, and women’s organizer.

The remaining executives are the constituency treasurer, constituency youth organizer, Nasara coordinator, deputy youth organizer, deputy women’s organizer, deputy general, secretary, deputy youth organizer, and the constituency deputy Nasara coordinator.

Out of the 34 electoral areas in the Bekwai constituency, 29 out of the 34 electoral area coordinators have also pledged their unwavering support for Ralph Poku-Adusei, a Bekwai indigene who is credit with tangible interventions in the Bekwai Municipality that have greatly impacted the likelihoods of the residents of Bekwai.

The constituency executives and electoral areas coordinators pledged their firm support for Ralph Poku-Adusei during an interaction between them and the candidate to discuss pertinent issues of concern to them in Bekwai that would require urgent in the short term and long term.

Ralph Poku-Adusei, in his address to the area coordinators and constituency executives, noted that as an indigene of Bekwai who lived and grew up in the constituency, he considers it obligatory to give back to the very community that has nurtured him to become a lawyer called to the Bar both in Ghana and in the United Kingdom (UK).

“I am contesting to become a member for Parliament for Bekwai constituency not to be served but to serve. I am a gifted strategist, and through my gift, I can see several avenues of opportunity in Bekwai that can be harnessed for the benefit of the over 300,000 inhabitants of Amansie,” Ralph Poku-Adusei said.

“I appreciate your support, your pledges, and your dedication to me, my campaign, and my candidature. I urge you all to ensure that on Saturday, 27 January 2024, you turn out in your numbers and vote massively for me to be your parliamentary candidate.” Mr Poku-Adusei added.

Some of the electoral area coordinators and constituency executives who have endorsed Lawyer Ralph Poku-Adusei accompanied him on several of his campaign tours. At one of the stopovers, the enthusiastic crowd chanted “Ralph Poku-Adusei Amansie boafoͻ,” to whit, “Ralph Poku-Adusei, helper of the people of Bekwai.”
